Great to see four junior pairs competing, but no sign of Molly and Alessandro for the junior ice dance @FlossieH - I wonder if there's been an injury? I hope they're OK.

So, rather than my season of following skaters that I have "adopted" starting next month with Stefania Yakovleva at the second Junior GP in Ostrava like I thought, it is actually starting next week with the British Qualifiers in Sheffield!
Zinia Wood is entered in Junior Ladies, while Zarah Wood / Alex Lapsky are entered in Junior Pairs.
I hope there will be videos appearing.

Huh. So ice dance is now 'couple dance?' I suppose that makes some room for solo dance to make it's way into the same events.
Looking forward to seeing some new programmes and catching up with how they are all doing. Molly and Alessio are listed for the third JGP still, so I am hoping that means whatever has caused their absence and withdrawal from the first is short term.

Molly and Alessio aren't listed for the August qualifiers either - perhaps they've already qualified or are planning to go to the October qualifier?
Some new (I think?) junior ice dance couples - Isabel Harrison/Harvey Dicks and Mimi Marler Davies and Joseph Black.

I was going to go into my usual rant about it being a disgrace that we no longer have separate competitions (and, hence, more prizes up for grabs) for the male and female solo dancers.
But, looking through the entries, there is only one male solo dancer competing in the entire event!
Although there has always been more girls than boys in Solo Dance, we still used to manage to have a good number of boys sprinkled across various levels. So, I hope it picks up as the season goes on.
On a different note, I would also like to say that I am dismayed that both of the Entries / Results pages are not displaying the clubs that the skaters belong to. I always found it very interesting to see which clubs were being represented in competitions, and how many skaters they were sending.

Although, you have to be careful of eating food where your team doesn't have direct control over what is in it. Because there have been too many cases over the years where people have failed doping tests because of something they ate at a local restaurant.
Sorry that this post sounds so negative. It's just the way it turned out.

Mimi and Joseph have been together for a while - this will be their third season together. I think Isabel and Harvey are entering their second season together.
But, this will be the first season in Juniors for both partnerships. They have been in Novices until now.

They're competing at the JGP Riga at the end of the month.
It is, isn't it! We should find out Lilah and Lewis's new programmes this Thursday and Friday at the British Qualifiers in Sheffield - although someone more knowledgeable than me might have this information before then!
