I didn't see him listed, I was assuming he was still dealing with the injury he got at the JGP Wuxi

Advanced Novice Pairs skaters are on the ice doing their Warm-Up.
I've had to wind it back a couple of minutes, as the computer was on a serious go-slow half an hour ago, and I had to re-start it. And I didn't quite get everything re-opened in time.
Maybe there'll be a couple of minutes that I can wind through in between groups...

Boys but there are a lot of familiar names from Singles Skating in Advanced Novice Pairs!
Violin Phantom for Leah COLEY / Jacob CASEY. No, Rock Phantom!
You know, a few years ago, we were getting sick of hearing music from "Phantom Of The Opera". But now, it is making a nice change. And that was a novel version.
I enjoyed that.

I remember thinking when Isla was a tiny 12 year old that she had a lovely sort of poise, don't know what it is exactly. Also on her instagram she put that she loves being lifted so she obviously has the slightly deranged courage needed for pairs

Isla SHENTON / Joel KIRBY wearing salmon. Well, Joel has black trousers.
I know the ideal in Pairs skating is to have a big fella and a tiny girl. But, this is too big a size difference for me. There was one point when Joel went down on his knee (no, I don't mean he was proposing!), and he was the same height as Isla was standing up!
But, they were really good!
So, Isla is going home with an 8th in Singles, and a 1st in Pairs. Nice!

The way the announcer introduced the Judges, I thought we were getting a combined group for Juniors and Seniors. 
Zarah and Alex weren't quite in sync in their first jumps. And even further out in their second set.
When Alex threw Zarah for the first time, I was worried that she was heading straight into the boards. But, fortunately she missed them.
The camera then focussed on Sophie DRACAS / Pelham WRIGHT for a long time, and at one stage while they were doing a step sequence we heard applause. So, I assume Zarah and Alex were doing something interesting at the same time.
We didn't actually see them doing any elements after that. They went to talk to Zoe and Chris at the boards.

Like in the Warm-Up, first set if jumps out of sync.
I didn't think Alex was going to catch Zarah in time!
But the lift was lovely!
Beautiful Throw Triple Salchow.
Backward Outside Death Spiral good.
Step Sequence looked really good.
Out of sync on Sit Spins.
Combination Spins at end finished after the music.
There's not enough room for everybody to fit in the camera shot!
Zoe! You're standing in front of the camera, so we can't see them!
They go into the lead, obviously.
