Axel is failing today but quads saved the day for Adelka. She is certainly showing strong character. Like every skater has a good skate sometimes but delivering under pressure and with a bad start is what counts.

Wow that was a good skate it could have gone really wrong after popped axel but she was perfect after that.

This requires strong mentality. She is showing to be able to deliver under pressure, which is what is needed for the Olympics.

Darn Gorbacheva breaking down is taking all pressure off of Muravieva to jump any ultra-c. Muravieva is walking into a free reserve spot she got the best case scenario. Very prudent that she won SP its a huge advantage she gets to see all of these results before skating.

Start didn't look good for Alina but she still was able to deliver after two falls. First 4S was great.

Eh, Mura still needs to skate cleanly, else Anna will overtake her, if Alina doesn't. And even then, with Plushenko's very public political opinions, Mura might not get the go-ahead by the ISU/IOC, even if he's only really her coach in name at this point.
