We finish the day with what is supposed to be a Senior double-bill consisting of a group of 6 girls; followed by a group of 1 boy.

I say "supposed to be" because I suspect that the boy might have withdrawn, because there is no link on the Entries / Results page to the Time Schedule PDF for the Senior Men's SP. (Although I have been able to open it by working out the address myself).

We start with two British skaters, and it was a messy start for Arabella SEAR-WATKINS.

I'm sure that this programme is lovely when it is done clean, though.

She's only recently moved to training in Dundee, so we won't start to see the effects of the move until next season.

Genevieve SOMERVILLE up now.

Although the dialogue at the start spoiled things, I actually enjoyed that programme from Genevieve SOMERVILLE (GBR). And even with the fall, on the whole she skated it well.

She'll definitely go ahead of Arabella. The question is, how far?

Not much, as it turns out. Just 0.79 points ahead.

This is going to make for an interesting battle in the Free Skate to be the top Brit!

You know, you can tell that the first of the Bulgarians, Kristina GRIGOROVA, is coached by Ice Dancers (she is from the Denkova-Staviski club). There were a lot of things about that Christina Aguilera programme that reminded me of Ice Dance programmes.

She goes into a massive 18.32 point lead.

Wow. That was great!!!

Elisavet VOULGARI (GRE) has come a long way since I first saw her many, many moons ago.

... and then she goes into last position, 10.25 points adrift.

The girls finish with a skater from the local Varna club, Galena TODOROVA (BUL).

And you know what - this is without doubt my favourite programme of the segment!

I'm predicting 2nd. But, it's a very big gap, so whereabouts in it, I don't know.

Oh. Rather than slotting in ahead of the Brits, she has slotted in just behind them, into 4th position. She is 3.50 points behind 3rd position, Arabella SEAR-WATKINS.

VERY strange music. You'll get an idea of how strange it is when I say that this is something I could imagine Zhiganshina / Gazsi doing a programme to.

But, it worked. And he actually skated well.

Beat SHYUMPERLI from the Elit club in Sofia goes into the lead with a score of 49.36 points.

And that's it for today.

Unfortunately, we have a much earlier start tomorrow. And hence I mightn't be able to watch LIVE because of the Formula 1.

The final day of the Black Sea Ice Cup may be starting a lot earlier than yesterday, but it has the same running order. So, we start with an Advanced Novice double-bill. 15 girls; followed by a group of 6 boys. The 15 girls are arranged into a group of 7; followed by a group of 8.

Well, that is appropriate!

I may have chosen to watch the skating LIVE instead of the Formula 1 this morning, but skater #4 Aleksandra VENEVA (BUL) from the Elit club in Sofia is skating to the current F1 theme music!

The race started 40 minutes ago!

She goes into 2nd in both the FS and overall.

Right, this is a headache. Two kids in the same Warm-Up group. How do I keep track of both of them?!

Varvara was easy to spot today again because, although there was another skater wearing a white jacket, they are significantly different enough to tell apart.

But, I needn't have worried about keeping track of my kids. We didn't see a single element within camera shot from any of the skaters! We just saw them going across from one side of the camera shot to the other!

So, we have no idea of the form they are in today.

The music starts, and I am thinking "Oooh. Middle Eastern music. You've got me on board already!"

Right. What's going on?

She started doing choreography heading towards the Judges, and then stopped at the boards and started talking to them.

Wrong music. Pity. I liked the wrong music.

Good jump to start.

And it continued like that.

I'd know those notes anywhere. We're moving into "Hotel California"!!!

And a bit of air guitar too!!!

Hey, you're a bit young to be doing that sultry stuff in front of the Judges!

Sorry for not commenting much about the elements, but they were all good. There were no issues to pick up on that I could see.

Well, Vayana immediate relinquished the lead to fellow skater from a Sofia club (albeit a different one) Milena VELCHEVA (BUL).

I have to admit, Eloisa hadn't come up on my radar before this weekend. But, I really liked both her programmes.

I'll be keeping an eye out for her in future.

She goes into 3rd in both the FS and overall.

But now for the shoot-out for the title between my kid and the other British skater.

First up, it's my kid.

First two elements good.

Double hands down on third element.

Fall on the next jump.

Combination jump lovely. And so were the combination spins.

But then she tripped and fell!

It's praying on her mind. She fell on her next jump.

Lost speed in the spin she did next.

No, you can see she's unsettled.

Ended the programme on her backside after falling on final jump.

Not the programme she would have wanted.

Well, you can understand her being unsettled after that weird fall on a trip in between elements.

Given the advantage from the SP, she unsurprisingly goes into the overall lead. But, somehow, she also manages to go into the lead of the FS.

Given Varvara's nightmare skate and the advantage they had over the rest of the field after the SP, I think it's safe to say that we have our champion.
