Junior Women has been divided into two groups. Group 2 has Stavrina Arantis, Mely-Ann Gagner, Aleksa Volkova, Michelle Lee and Sandrine Blais.

They were obviously put the stronger skaters in Group 2. I hope Michelle Lee is selected for NextGen.

you are such a trooper !!! I have been so busy with reorganizing my life, I miss a lot of the updates. Thanks for letting us know about them. I will update the OP.

I am still hoping I can go see pairs, both juniors and seniors. I really want to see Yoni and Ava for instance

Cranberry International Cup - Juniors/Novice is on the same weekend. These junior singles W/D could be a sign that Skate Canada may send them to compete in Boston?

Yes. At the same time, we are never at the end of surprises when it comes to international assignments with Skate Canada

Here's the Skate Canada procedures for JGP assignments for this season (source):

STAGES OF SELECTION
Stage 1 – Skaters/teams with medal performances at a 2023 ISU Grand Prix and/or top 10 performance at 2024
World Junior Championships will be nominated to a Jr Grand Prix starting in early July. Follow up monitoring
sessions will take place from late-June to late-July to oversee the progress and preparedness of these nominated
skaters/teams to ensure they are on track to achieving an optimal performance at the Jr Grand Prix in which they
are assigned.
Stage 2 – Following the monitoring sessions in late June and early July, some additional skaters will be named to a
Jr. Grand Prix in early July.
Stage 3 – Skaters competing in the Junior category during the summer (July & August) will be assessed (NextGen
Team members and others). Following these competitions, additional skaters may be named to represent Canada
at a Jr Grand Prix.

(Stage 4 is for a second assignment, so not relevant here)

Anthony I could see maybe being nominated for a JGP before NextGen since he has the highest international score from last season of the current Junior eligible men. But not Aleksa Volkova or Mely-Ann Gagner. Entries for JGP Riga are due on the 25th, before NextGen, so I can see them going for the skaters who had better performances last season. But entries could also be made to reserve the spot, but not necessarily be the official entry until after NextGen (it's not official until it's on the Skate Canada website.)

But also:

All NextGen Team members wishing to be selected to a Jr. Grand Prix must take part in the NextGen Competition
and Camp, plus one additional competition prior to competing at a Jr. Grand Prix. Exceptions will only be made
due to an injury which has been reviewed by the Skate Canada medical team.

So they need to have an additional competition on top of NextGen unless they can't due to injury.

Checking back on the start orders, I missed that David Shteyngart and Michelle Lee were not on them for the short program. So they did withdraw.

It's also confirmed that the Junior Singles who withdrew here will be competing at Cranberry Cup instead

I was planning to go there but I think i will just livestream it. I have been completely exhausted since I moved a little while ago and well, even if I wanted to go, I am expecting a new sofa to be delivered Saturday.. so there's that. Sunday, I could try but I think I will just rest as what I truly wanted to watch was pairs and dance. I wasn't planning to make it on Thursday/Friday.

So does this mean Lajoie/Lagha are competing here? . They haven't updated the start orders since July 22, so they aren't on it.
