I think Flossie is right. Because I do remember a programme where Madison was looking very stiff and jerky.

It wasn't Guignard & Fabbri's programme that I am thinking of. The costumes I am thinking of are more colourful.

Speaking of baby pairs who were together in Novices and are now in Juniors together - Heckova/Valky are also such a team. This is their third (!) season together, and their (for me long-awaited) JGP debut.

Now that we are resurfacing, this may be a good time to share that since we’ve last watched skating together, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Ted!

For whatever reason, he was at the Philadelphia International summer comp last month, and—walked past me.

I seized the opportunity to tell him how much I appreciate the work he’s done to promote the JGP, and skating in general. Something I’ve always wanted to do!

Maybe. I'd remembered it as Chock and Bates, but maybe that's because they tend to do more unusual programmes. It was definitely an ice dance team. She was a robot who was carried onto the ice and she was wound up again after her battery ran out part-way through the programme.

Literally so baby I kind of feel like I'm obligated to officially adopt them now that they are finally Junior eligible.

That Slovakian pair has just surprised me. They are much more confident and secure than I expected.

Oh a Bridgerton program for Ines & Alejandro. She has such an expressive face and some very nice extensions. He is doing a nice job partnering her and showing her off.

I groaned when we began with Disney Princess (yes, I know they are juniors, and I’ll give that a pass in juniors—but reluctantly), but quite liked the rest of that. Creative program!

That was a very different version of "Once Upon A Dream"...

Didn't know the other songs. But that song at the end would have sounded better without vocals.

I quite liked their costumes. Particularly Alejandro's uniform. Ines' dress was verging on the blending into the ice side.

There were a few things that very noticably went wrong in the skating...

Into 8th position.

Oh my 13 yo Xuanqi ZHANG is unbelievably cute and fearless. He has very elegant arms and handles her beautifully. Their music is Good Omens with choreo by Wenjing Sui

The Chinese pairs are always so well trained. I think their levels were lower than last week's pair, but there wasn't a fall like last week.
