Baby baby pairs were fun - The Germans looked particularly well polished, but that makes sense considering the other two teams are much newer. The Spanish team had some good elements for such a new team, and the Poles are clearly very new to the discipline as a whole. Looking forward to seeing how these teams develop in the future.

The first group of Junior pairs showed some nice improvements by Moudden/Garcia (who are now missing less than 3 point for the Jr Worlds minimums) and Pacha/Derechowski ( who achieved their first twist with positive GOE).
 
And we complete our Pairs triple-bill, and Saturday, by moving from the Junior partnerships to the Senior partnerships.

Unfortunately, my baby pair has withdrawn - They were there and warming up but went up to the judges when they were called to the start. Hopefully, they'll take the time to fully recover from whatever caused them to withdraw and return to the ice in full health in due time. They are still so young and have a long career ahead of them, no need to rush back now.

And unfortunately, the two teams who went after this withdrawal didn't do well either, with the Israelis having a fall on the throw and a double fall on the lift, and the other Slovakians having a generally messy skate. The only ones who seemed happy were the Italians, who are now leading the field and who landed their first triple throw with positive GOE - Well done, guys :clap:
 
I must admit that Roscher/Schuster's score surprised me - Their technical elements looked so much better here than at the Nebelhorn Trophy, but the score is almost the same.

Looking at the results page, their TES was 3 points higher than at Nebelhorn Trophy (and their 5th highest TES score internationally so far), while their PCS were 2.5 points lower (and the 2nd lowest of their Senior career) :oops:

I am looking forward to seeing Krebs/Trofymov in Juniors, their lifts are quite solid for a young team (good sign!) and their throw technique is great, just the twist and the sbs jumps need a bit more polish. Their score is actually the third-highest Advanced Novice score internationally since the switch to the -5/+5 system.

(She kind of reminds me of young Minnie Hase, so hopefully that's a good sign ☺️)
