2024 European Championships Men's Free Skate

Yay, Mark! He seems to have gained some good confidence and consistency this season. Still a bit dicey at times, but so pleased to see he doing a bit better cause I really like his skating and he has some amazing qualities when he's on. I also quite like this free. It gives him a great range to work with.

I feel like the Europeans don't make much sense this way. There are so many countries who all have a spot... but there are hardly any boys doing figure skating... and it's all just Russians, mostly still living, training and not speaking the country's language they skate for... I dislike country quotas anyway, but this just leads the system ad absurdum.
I was actually just thinking it would be nice to have a more generous quota system for Europeans. A lot of smaller countries could use a second spot to help develop their skaters even if neither is capable of placing higher than 12-15th.

Well it looks like we’re getting the beginning of Batman’s training, not the final form…

Finland's Makar is a Russian born, but has lived in Finland since he was 4 and speaks Finnish at native level. Finland has good amount of skaters now but level is not high - yet.
