i don't know what the show is about but i can imagine. why do people do this to themselves? why?

Yeah, it's about plastic surgery gone wrong/too far. From what I've seen, most of it is related to mental health - Body dysmorphia, low self-esteem, ... A few do it for money (you would not believe what sick people out there are willing to pay for a certain kind of gratification I don't want to explain more in detail, even at the cost of somebody else's life), or for notoriety, but most that take it this far are deeply mentally troubled.
