I don't think I've ever seen a "stare at the judges" ending that was so direct, haha. The camera angle on the judge she stopped in front of was priceless

Haha, I laughed at that too. I’m still waiting for something like that with the beginning of Egadze’s free skate.

I often finish Ami's programs questioning whether the ultra-Cs are worth it for her. There's so much quality in her other elements, and it looks as if the 3A wreaks a bit of havoc on her 2As sometimes? Stacked as the field may be, I feel like Ami's other strengths are enough on their own and might actually be bolstered by the removal of some risk.

Very glad that most of it worked today, though! She's happy with that one It just felt...a little out-of-control at times?

The 3A’s are actually what saved Ami.
Ami is hit and miss on the rest of her triples. She always seems to miss one or two.
Also, that triple triple at the end showed guts

Well, Ami will move on to senior GP next season anyways. She will replace Mai and be the only change to the already packed ladies GP field from Japan

I agree. Never really sure how to word it, but this does it pretty well. Her 3A's (when they work) are lovely, but I do think sometimes it can affect the rest of her program. However, if it works for her then go right ahead, lol.

I agree. Never really sure how to word it, but this does it pretty well. Her 3A's (when they work) are lovely, but I do think sometimes it can affect the rest of her program. However, if it works for her then go right ahead, lol.

She's pretty much the only girl of her caliber who I have seen get tripped up on a 2A more than once and it always looks like a timing issue, which I can only imagine is related to the 3A (is used to training it with more rotation and tends to check out too late, would be my guess). That alone makes me wonder. Today it kind of just felt like a lot of her later triples were messy? That isn't necessarily a result of the 3As, but I don't imagine the additional difficulty helps much.

I remember seeing Miyabi while watching a replay of...2015 NHK...? When I was in middle school, and thinking, "wow, she's so cool," and now I'm in grad school and I still watch her and think, "wow, she's so cool," 10/10 and no notes

Heart Ò makes all of her dresses! They also made both of Yuna Shiraiwa’s this year!

I think it can bleed over, although it can be hard to really know if it's actually because of the 3A or if it's literally anything else, lol. Timing definitely seems like an issue though with her 2A.
