I love Oka’s…I’m gonna call it a “knee slide layback” in the choreo. That’s unique. That was good skate. She’ll get the 3A next time. If I recall, she landed it at junior nationals.

She hasn't landed it successfully in competition yet
Reina Kawakatsu landed a 3Aq at Jr Nats

I love Maria's StSq in this program. I don't typically think of Nessun Dorma as being particularly joyful, but her performance is thoroughly convincing.

I just love the drama of the music + she sells it so well. It was not her day with the jumps, but I love the program itself. Great StSq as well.

Maria fought hard and that wasn't a terrible skate but she's definitely capable of better...which makes me question~

Why are all the Meiji Dai skaters struggling / under performing in this competition?!

This does not bode well for Rion...

Whoa, I wasn’t expecting that from Kawabe. That was a great skate. She used to have to fight against her jumps, but there was little of that here. She looks great.

An actual dream skate for Mana! Well done. The only thing that bothers me in the music, but this specific cover of "Paint It Black" is haunting me.

There is something unique about Ikura Kushida's program, and her performance was really mesmerizing at the beginning.

I've seen it before but it somehow never really hit me how well-choreographed Ikura's FS is. Lots of unique and effective movements.

Since Ikura didn't make the FS last year this was her first time competing this program with the added StSq
I liked it~
Glad she had the chance to perform the Sr version

That’s one of Kushida’s better free skates. I really like this program on her; it was one of my favorites last year.

Yay for Ikura! Great program and some great saves on her jumps too. This is a unique program, so it was really exciting to watch. I've never seen Ikura skate this free program before so what a nice surprise!

Wow, the senior version of Ikura's fs is even better than the junior version.

I notice they purposefully do not give high PCS scores to their junior athletes.
How that skate is below 60 PCS is baffling to me.
JSF is so strict with their judging
