So many times I have the right skaters in the wrong places and 4-6 are usually bombosI had him in 3rd, but no Japanese gold this stage is better than my completely busted predictions

I keep guessing all 5--not here, Gogitidze looked weird on the previous stage--but all in the wrong order. Heh, my season of predictions so far was super poor. But I enjoy the chaos more than predestined podiums. So many times I have the right skaters in the wrong places and 4-6 are usually bombos
It's 5:30 am here, so I am just getting up. Can't wait for Free Dance! I hope for all 3-way podiums.I want to watch free dance but it is almost 4:30 am here and I am getting sleepy. Thank you for watching Men's FS with me. So many promising skaters. It was fun.
Struggle is a good teacher. They are both missed. I especially love Taiga and felt both boys should've kept their assignments.A little reminder that Daiya Ebihara and Taiga Nishino lost their second JGP spots with scores that would have put them onto the podium here, but I digress
He is another favorite of mine and this makes me sad as well.I guess Taira will lose his second JGP
Or me - Congratulations Ean for a great job! Go Suisse!Special shoutout to Ean Weiler, who increased his PB by over 40 points (!). Who saw that one coming? Certainly not me.
This is the drawback of the final being drawn by placement, not score. I think they should give 6th spot to a skater with the highest score if they have higher score than the 6th person. That way it would provide an incentive to keep athletes in the stages. Because I understand the logic of the Japanese fed, but it also reduces the number of entries overall.A little reminder that Daiya Ebihara and Taiga Nishino lost their second JGP spots with scores that would have put them onto the podium here, but I digress.
Congrats to Jacob (making it difficult for USFS, I see, I guess Taira will lose his second JGP), Shunsuke (who likely just qualified for the JGPF) and Arlet.

Unfortunately, the US didn't have much luck at last season's Jr Worlds, so they only had 6 spots - With two medalists, four of those spots are already occupied by two skaters for maximum JGPF chances. He is another favorite of mine and this makes me sad as well.
I wish scores were more than just tie-breakers but that placements still keep their importance as well because scores aren't always equal across JGPs.This is the drawback of the final being drawn by placement, not score. That's why I was thinking, one spot in the running to account for any stages that were overstacked. Because say in Poland, we will have pretty tough competition for women, while in Slovenia, not so much.I wish scores were more than just tie-breakers but that placements still keep their importance as well because scores aren't always equal across JGPs.
Maybe somehow factor them with each other? I don't know, might have to do some experiments in Excel later
I'm also not a fan of the two-point jump between the top placements, it's kind of unnecessary.
This season the ice dance fields for example are so uneven across competitions, there will definitely be teams making the JGPF with much lower scores than teams who won't make it
Are JGPs usually this lopsided? Like compare this JGP to the Czech JGP. That one was stacked as 6 skaters got over 200 points, and seems like China will be as well (Junior Men category) based on the current line up.That's why I was thinking, one spot in the running to account for any stages that were overstacked. It happens fairly often, since junior skaters enter competitions in waves, take time to establish--or not--have the growth periods when their performances drop, and some countries are harder to get to, and all sort of things. Are JGPs usually this lopsided?
