Just watched the interview Ted did with Tatiana Malinina and Roman Skorniakov, and I just love the way that, despite living in America for so long, they haven't lost their accents. There are too many people who lose their accents when they move to a different country. And I always think that is a shame, because it is part of your identity.
Whilst it was interesting hearing them talking about bringing up their son, I would have preferred to hear them talk about their own skating careers.
They retired around the time I started to get interested in figure skating, so I would have liked to find out more about their experiences.
I also enjoyed watching the interview Ted did with his fellow Kiwi, Li Yanhao. Although, I was surprised Ted didn't actually mention that connection. Not that he needed to - you could see how proud Ted was of Yanhao!

Just so that it is in here, the club that Mehmet Cenkay KARLIKLI belongs to, Vizyon, and the club that Ege İLTER belongs to, Unika, both use this rink.
I'm a bit confused about the club that Efe Ergin DINCER belongs to, Altın Patenciler. Everything on his ISU Bio indicates that he is based in Ankara (where he was born). But when I search for Altın Patenciler, there are results that say it is in Erzurum, about 550 miles away!
Maybe the meaning of the club's name means that it is a popular title to use in the skating community in Turkey.
Put it like this: we are all "Altın Patenler" (Golden Skaters)!
Whatever the case, the audience were giving massive support to all three of their Ankara boys!
