told you, there's not statement whatsoever so we can only guess, maybe Daniel's lawyers made an appeal. i guess we'll never know unless he makes a statement. the point is, he made a huge mistake (well several) he had to face the consequences for his hectic behaviour, he paid for it, he's clear now. you might not be satisfied with it for some reasons (btw real dopers got to get back to competitions eventually, in many different sports), but i don't think that keeping complaining about it will be of any use
no it is not that I am not happy that he is back. My question was mor Why such an athlete is preferred by ISU? There are many athletes who, for example, did not get a good result last season due to injuries but who cares we give GP spot to freshly banned athelte.

But it would be better if Italian antidoping or athlete himself give some proper explanation.

There's a new GP replacement rule this season mentioned in the GP General Announcement for 24/25 issued on 31 July, where they made it more strict as to who gets to chosen as replacement:

All Skaters/Couples of the alternate list will be chosen in order of their ranking (excluding any skaters from Members already included in a maximum capacity and subject to extenuating circumstances). Extenuating circumstances include, but are not limited to, the availability of visas to enter the Host Country.

So Grassl must've been chosen because he's the next in line on the men's alternate list. I don't have the alternate list handy atm but I doubt JSF would go out of their way to break the rule for Grassl.

Btw, before this rule was in place it was the hosting federation (in this case JSF) who got to pick anyone from the top 10 of the alternate list, not ISU.
