Sadly it's very typical of the way NBC covers the Olympics, which is why many people can't wait for their contract to cover the Olympics to be up. It's awful.

Didn't they just renegotiate it? Maybe I'm imagining things.

I found some old vhs tapes from the 2002 Olympics and it reminded me of how they used to interrupt skating with cross country skiing, luge etc and no indication if the figure skating coverage was over or if they’d go back in 5-10 minutes. I guess it’s still like that on live tv which makes me grateful for streaming, even if it does involve a lot of jumping through hoops.

I stream the stuff I want to watch live. I don't even bother to watch the broadcasts ever.

he used to represent Israel, took part to every single major competition internationally and this was one of his cleanest free i've ever seen from him. don't hold your breath

He skated for Israel, went to the Olympics and finished....31st I think? I don't know.

NBC showed it because American Jordan Stolz, speed skater (not that I'm a speed skating fan), just broke a World Record. Supposedly he may be headed to the next Winter Olympics.

I am not impressed that Kapeikis crosses the US/Canada border despite having heard that fourteen thousand times this weekend, and I'm not even taking my Prevagen. If he commuted to Uzbekistan or Tonya Harding's house, I'd be interested. But a normal commute involving a friendly border? Yawn.
