I hate hate calling partnership by their last name initials cause it confuses me so much - let alone when multiple teams have the same initials.... Hence I love to come up with nicknames

So do I. To the extent that I don't bother reading posts that use initials. It takes far to long to work out who is being talked about. If I can work it out at all.

Although, I often find nicknames confusing too.

I prefer the initials - because I spent many younger years in fandomland that went in for mashups and so many of them are cringeworthy. To be honest, I don't see why we can't just use their flippin' names...

Apart from the initials bit, I agree! (Says the guy that has a mashup as his username... )

It's not that hard to copy & paste from the livescoring page...

They're a lovely team, today just wasn't their day with those fluke falls.

I loved Jasmine as a Novice dancer with her former partner, and I loved seeing her return to skating with a bang by medaling twice and making the JGPF in the first season with her new partner. I hope they can regroup for Nationals and have a redemption skate at Jr Worlds

After the different "Notre Dame De Paris" programme we had in Pairs earlier, we are back to a more conventional edit for Jasmine ROBERTSON / Chase ROHNER (USA).

Jasmine is wearing a brown see-through dress with matching brown bra and knickers showing through, Chase is wearing a red shirt ad black trousers.

Unfortunately, it didn't go very smoothly for them.

They go into 3rd position in both the FS and overall.

I was in some fandoms too (mostly bands and animes) and I get what you mean.... still if I love the pairing, I'd love their mashup name even if a bit cringe

Japanese skaters definitely love their nicknames & mashups, all their pairs & dance couples have nicknames I believe lol. I've even seen single skater's first & last name mashed together (e.g UeShun)

Love the feisty style of Iryna & Artem - those crazy lifts are really a tribute to Nazarova & Nikitin their coaches who showed such composure skating at Worlds as war broke out in Ukraine.
