The figure skating ice show “Prince Ice World 2025-2026 PIW THE MUSICAL ~The Best of BROADWAY~ Aichi Performance” opened on the 13th at the Expo '05 Aichi Memorial Park Ice Skating Rink in Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture. This marks the first performance in Aichi in 12 years. Guest skaters included local native Shoma Uno, Japan's first male skater to win back-to-back World Championships, along with Kana Muramoto and Daisuke Takahashi, affectionately known as “Kanadai,” and Nobunari Oda. They displayed light and graceful skating.
Uno performed “The Spectre” with a sense of speed. After the show, he shared his changed perspective: “It's a high-tempo, energy-consuming program. While dance-heavy programs are common now, this was my first attempt at such a piece when I created it. Back then, I was nervous before performing it. But now, with all the experience I've gained, I look forward to presenting it more than I feel nervous.”
Also participating were Prince Ice World members Tsunehito Karakawa, Kohei Yoshino, and Yuki Sato, who are also performing in the ice show “Ice Brave 2” (running until January next year, which he produced), along with guest skater Rika Hongo. He highlighted the show's appeal, stating, “Having guest skaters skate among the Prince members is something unique to this show.”
The two members of “Kanadai” debuted their 2023 creation “Lay All Your Love On Me.” They captivated the audience with their contemporary, perfectly synchronized dance. Takahashi also performed alongside Prince's male skaters, including Sato, showcasing their seamless teamwork. “It was so much fun,” he said with a smile.
