2025-26 Russian Men's Figure Skating

Looking at the protocol is enough to make you sick! Singled out for urs doesn’t even begin to describe what happened. But you couldn’t really bury his astonishing talent!!! He is astoundingly talented! That’s what he was sixth even with the most horrific targeting of a skater I have ever seen ever in all of ijs history!!

I'm really happy with Petya's performance. He did well. Fantastic even. The most important thing was not to bomb and he didn't. I won't talk about his score because i was kinda expecting it.

Went to sleep after Shaidorov's skate, checked the final results this morning and legit thought i was still sleeping.

There's St Petersburg Champ happening this weekend with great entries

There is not equal fairness for all skaters, true!
and i would like to add 1 more thing, for me Petr's fp is better than
M. Shaidorov in term of storytelling and artistry.
This is not a high bar. I am glad, however, that Shaidorov was judged fairly. But yes, if Shaidorov is champion, Gumennik should have been a solid 4th with Sato and Gogolev on the podium. The blending of criteria in the name of balanced skating was confusing.

The "fans" who are on Twitter are doing Gumennik no favors as he will get the blame for the trolling. They need to find a new hobby.

No argument there. Forget Gumennik, they screw with the chances to get more participation. Olympics is a big competition, but it's not the only one.

Why shouldn't they troll when Petya get uninhibited hate anyway? Good thing that they can have some fun.

Because breaking rules brazenly plays into ISU narrative that they won't be able to ensure security at the events if AIN is allowed to skate in other competitions. Olympics is only one competition. Gumennik is only one skater. Neither single thing is worth losing sight of the big picture. Humble is the ticket. The needs of the many...

I just realized if RusFed wasn't allowed to be feudal overlord, Popov might have skated in the Olympics for Aze, because Litvintzev seemed to have been injured. Effing RusFed and effing ISU for allowing RusFed to be a tyrant.

I don’t know all the facts. Like if he offered to pay Russian fed back for all it has given him

Wasn't Popov trying to switch to Uzbekistan, not Azerbaijan? Still, he certainly had every chance of placing high enough at the Olympic Qualifying event to make it to the Olympics.

Nikita Sarnovsky (together with his sister Sofia) left Plushenko for Eteri. Newest drama of Russian figure skating :dance2:

RIA: Vanya decided to continue his skating career. He's having a trial period in AoP.
