I meant he could bring Dune back if there was just a little more time. If it had been known earlier that he couldn't use Perfume.

Oh my, what a last-minute drama 
I'm surprised, I thought he would have cleared his music for Olympic compliance months ago as he knows since at least last September he is going to Milan.
To try and see the silver lining, Petr's SP is just empty, there is really no program there, what right now is probably a blessing in disguise as it should be rather easy to juxtapose it to whatever other music he can use. The costume though is a different matter, but worst case scenario, as he normally won't be able to get anything else in such a short notice, he can ditch the handkerchief as the most obvious reference (which should have been ditched anyway) and just go ahead with it; I doubt it that he would be significantly penalized for a "not properly matching" costume.
In any case, it's awful for Petr having to face this destabilizing situation just a couple of days before his Olympic skate

That's strange. I think it's probably a case that you need an extended/ reinforced license for Olympic use. So most likely, if they did have a license covering them so far (and just maybe they didn't because the program was mostly only skated internally in Russia, which limites the risk of lawsuits), it wasn't revoked, but simply it's not up to what is required for Olympic performances, as it also happened to other skaters in the last months. The copyright lawsuit from last Olympics did unfortunately a lot of damage

Ok, so he has an interchangeable program that can be simply left with the new music and he also has interchangeable costumes. It looks like he will be sidestepping all this and things will be just fine

I guess we'll know tomorrow. The silver lining with Gumennik being in the first wu group is that he doesn't have to skate in the middle of the night like all the high ranked skaters. Lol, they will be going choreography by this and that, finely tuned and polished for months, and Petr is going to be like, choreography is by us, from yesterday night. It's real fresh.
He is russian .. so probably waltz is in his dna.. and considering the low artistic in men ( with exceptions of course) .. i think he will do well.The music is different but he is very adaptable and classic ... so give him a uniform .. and half of the women will fall for him.

I just watched Petr he only git 86.72, regarding the last minute change of SP, i think that it is unfair for him.

You couldn't expect much more in group 1, with iffy landing, a doubled triple and not exactly stellar presentation of whatever that generic sound track was (obvious reasons, but the judges judge what's before them). This was nowhere near Aliev's waltz when half the audience wanted to run on the ice and waltz with him. He made it from opening the program to being in penultimate group. It's as good as he could have done, because he was very clearly not a match to the top 6. He can very well push into top 6 in the free if he lands everything and shows more connection to his program and most everyone else bombs. And the jury composition is just as favorable as yesterday.

OK now i can only read the results for now Petr is rankd 1st. In France i was able to watch on Francetv, but now i am out of region it said ! !!!

OK now the canadian is 1st. Anyway tomorrow i will fly back to sophia for moving house so next week i will be in France and able to watch women sp.

I watched the video on Youtube; Petr skated so beautifully, can not objectively compare with others because i have not yet watched them. However, for me it seems there is a slight prejustice in scoring which is understandable in the actual context. Ilia Malinin no longer impress me with his super jumps, because it does not look as elegant and beautiful as it should look. Well hope at least Petr could be among the Top 10.
