Not sure if this is new or old news:

"Tenerife (Spain) – It was announced on the 11th that Madison Chock and Evan Bates, the U.S. ice dance duo who won the silver medal at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, will be taking a break next season. Bates, who is attending the International Skating Union (ISU) Congress in Tenerife, Spain, and has just become the chair of the athletes' committee, told Kyodo News about it."
