I think the changes were to reflect Gogolev's withdrawal, so it would be Senior Men/Pairs impacted. Maybe the Senior Synchro Free too?

I am so looking forward to this competition...especially the men. That may sound strange (considering the OG discussion) but I always enjoy the skating in itself. Maybe no Olympic and Worlds material but still so wonderful to watch. I love Bruce's skating, Anthony's, Roman's. Actually mostly the ones (except for Roman) who don't do quads (yet). The USA may have their quad God, the Canadians have their skating skills court with an artistry king (Anthony)!

Senior Men Short ends sooner, with a longer break between it and the Senior Synchro Free. Senior Synchro Free and Senior Pairs Short start times not affected, end time is still the same.
Senior Men Free ends sooner and Senior Pair Free begins at 19:55 now instead of 20:00. The day ends at 21:30 instead of 21:35.

I’m excited for all the events. Maybe, looking forward to Senior Ladies the most, as there are five spots (4CC and Junior Worlds) up for grabs and so many potential Candidates for those spots.
Also, I’m interested to find out how good some of the commentary are from some of these selected athletes.

Alicia and Charlie are very nice commentators. Charlie gives technical comments as well. However, you won't hear them in English. They comment for the Patinage Canada side of things. So does Elizabeth Paradis.Also, I’m interested to find out how good some of the commentary are from some of these selected athletes.

No wonder. I have never listened to them before, as I can only understand the English commentary….

It depends... I do either... I prefer Kaitlyn Weaver to Paradis but I prefer Alicia to Osmond... I do prefer Charlie to both KMT and Meagan... because I like his voice haha
Reynolds is really awesome but can be monotonous at times. So I go back and forth... but I will watch everything from the rink this year so you tell me what you like

The only change was really pairs LP... So I changed that. Thank you for updating the schedule. It may change again anyways if more skaters w/d....
Upon further investigation, probably a mistake on Skate Canada's partEdit - no, Damien not on the list for Senior Men in the program
His coach posted a reel on Instagram of Damien jumping a 3F today with the caption "
Training for Nationals "
Capacity is 2500.
Free Dance also has the Senior Women Free in the same session, which should be competitive and there's a good amount of local representation in both categories.
I guess that's small? Not sure what stadium capacity in the last few years was. That said, obv Montreal/Laval is a location that would sell more tickets
WinSport last year has a capacity of 3000. They used it to host Junior World's in 2023. Place Bell hosted SCI in 2018, so 2500-3000 looks to be the capacity Skate Canada looks for in venues.
Thunderbird Arena (Vancouver) is nominally 5000 and Prospera Place (Kelowna) is nearly 7000. Thunderbird has had GPF, Nationals, and Skate Canada in recent years. Kelowna had Skate Canada twice. Thunderbird had extra stands added for some events (but not recent Skate Canada).
