and imo they could've gone higher on her components

I cannot believe how well she skated tonight! Ikura already did an event like three hours ago with the ice dance and is now a National medallist, which is sooooo insane. She has to be utterly exhausted, especially because she only got like 4 hours of sleep the day before, but this program was as gorgeous as always. There are so many moments of choreography that are just breathtaking, she cast a spell on the arena for four minutes.

Kushida’s mesmerizing even when the jumps aren’t working and I almost never say that. She must be tired too since she won a silver medal in dance a few hours ago. It’s up to her whatever discipline she ultimately pursues but there’s magic in both.

oh noooo Rion . She was doing so well in practice and I think she just got in her head again. This program is so good and Rion is such a fantastic skater, but this has been a really rough competition for her. Sending her a lot of hugs. I'm proud of her second-half comeback with the two combos, she was fighting all the way throughout.

Rion always just seems to come out so strong and then lose confidence as the season progresses. I like this program and I'm sad it's never been skated to it's full potential.

Oh dear, another very rough skate from Rion. Entire competion she was not like herself.

No no no. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! 3 falls, one being on the 2A. She should go back to doing the 2A+3T first with the 4T as the second jumping pass. She got it together a little bit in the second half, but it just wasn’t enough. This is going to be a long one for me isn’t it?
