Polina. Lovely dress and program. That is a wonderful program for her. Good skate.

That was a great skate from Polina, who was a dark horse to me. Her jumps looked easy, and I liked the backwards one foot glide into the 3Lo with the twizzles afterwards, as well as the spread eagle after the flying sit spin. Oh no, not a splat at the end! She tries to brazen it out, good for her. As Ted says, a charming skate.

I see Brandenburg had a good skate while I was running errands. Someone's doomsaying on her made me waver in predictions and I regret it!

I am not a fan of AB's free and prefer EG's free - hopefully that was a better choice
I also goofed on Seojin also having her out of my top 5

People, wait for the Free. There is basically nothing in terms of scores from one skater to the next among the skaters ranked 2nd to 12th/13th. Every single mistake, a missed level on a spin or even a lower planned BV can have a huge impact now.

A creditable JGP debut for Dana-Syrine, and a lovely dress. She doesn't let the fall on the 2A get to her, and lands the other jumps without looking nervous or anxious going into them. I really like the way she closes the free leg in the A-spin, I don't think I have ever seen that before.

Sofiia is a good performer - she doesn't hold back when expressing the music and choreography, and really uses her whole body. Surprise cartwheel at the end, whee! Lovely sparkly dress.
