2025 NextGen Competition | July 17-20

I missed some of the earlier jr men. I guess I have to wait for the archive as the stream does not seem to be rewindable? So happy to be watching Canadian skating again. :hap10:

Anybody else here?

Junior Ladies starting soon…..
Domestic benchmark for 5 JGP spots is 155.

I rewatched Lia’s short program a dozen times and it is brilliant. Love the sass, the details and everything about it. Also, the 2A actually improved. It is as good as Kaori with the height and speed out of the jump. Her skating skills have improved, as well. Her step sequence was better than ever and the ending spin was chef’s kiss.

I expect Lia to win. Will she go for the 3A? She should go for it as she has a healthy lead.

I expect Victoria and Sandrine (showed lots of fight) to round out the podium.
I’m hoping Reese and Hetty do enough to pass the 155 benchmark. Out of the skaters in flight two, I hope Ksenia moves up. I really do hope she gets some JGP experience. She is so talented.

Yay, redemption for Gabrielle. Apart from the Loop fall, that was really good. I like the ombre and sparkles

I wonder whether Calissa is carrying an injury. She was very tentative and there were a lot of doubles when she would normally do triples.
