Thank you so much for the report. Jun is my wild card skater. I thought I read that he switched boots and that things were better. Your report makes me think not so much. Sad to hear Shun is hurting again - he is just starting to reap the rewards of his hard work. Let me know if you have any news on the Andrew, Jimmy, Lucas, Boyang or MatteoCharlene hurt her wrist, sounds like she had some swelling but returned to practice later and it's getting better. She posted on her IG story that she's doing well and was NOT knocked unconscious like some people on the Internet have claimed
Wakaba is dealing with some foot pain and has had limited training for the past two weeks, which when compounded with her illness at the beginning of the season doesn't make me optimistic for her performance here
Shun is having a resurgence of pain in his ankle; it's worse than it was at CoC but he's still aiming for the same jump layout. He struggled with the 4Lz in practice, it sounds like his condition is very day-by-day.
Kaori had a disaster SP run-through on Thursday, she fell on some transitions and her 3F and doubled her loop. She is worried about cascading mistakes and feels a lot of pressure skating in her last GP event (crazy!!!!!! noooooo come back Kaori!) at home, but will do her best and wants to show a clean performance.
Haru Kakiuchi started jumping triples last week (!!!!!) after a serious injury in the fall, I'm shocked he didn't WD but wish him the best
Yuma had a clean FS run through, his ankle is feeling better after some nerve pain at Lombardia and he's back to doing a 3-quad FS layout and two in the short. He's planning to leave the 4F until at least the GPF.
Junhwan still has a lot of tape on his boots, I'm guessing they're the same pair he had at CoC, which had suddenly broken down right before the competition.
Foot injury issues have plagued Wakaba her whole career. It's unfortunate they are flaring up now. Hopefully she can overcome them here, although she has another competition next week, which can't be good for her foot. Kaori is always nervous so she should be fine. I saw a very short clip of the Shibutanis on Facebook, but it wasn't enough to determine what form they're in.Thank you for the reports. Is Samodelkina actually there?
Any thoughts on Shibutanis?
At least we know they're there, thanks for the info!I saw a very short clip of the Shibutanis on Facebook, but it wasn't enough to determine what form they're in.
