2025 U.S. Nationals: General Info and pre-game chat

The headline is clickbait (or else just lazy).

The Sheriff is the head of security at the arena. But "Arena Security Prepares for Event" is not quite as attention grabbing.

The clip is the mostly "Big Skating Event Comes to Our Town" fluff, although they have some random citizen saying anyone can pull a gun at any big event. Which is true, but....

According to his USFSA bio, Yaroslav Paniot withdrew from the Pacific Singles Final.

He skated in the SP, but then withdrew

He then would not have qualified to Nationals.

Dumb question for someone who has never attended a figure skating comp live: what do the tickets mean by Groups 1, 2, and 3? Is it just 6 couples in a group? I am buying tickets last minute, mainly to see all the ID couples that competed on the Grand Prix circuit, and I'm trying to figure if I should buy tickets for group 3 only, or if I need to also spring for the groups 1 & 2 tickets in order to see all those couples.

Anyone know what happened to Yaroslav Paniot? He's always fun to watch. Is he injured, or did he just not make it out of sectionals? Or has he retired?
He was competing in sectionals and pulled out due to an injury right before the long program . I need to see if he has a funding link. From what I understand he could use it.

I’ve been to many skating events and never seen that on a ticket. Normally it’s “Senior Pairs Short Program” or whatever. Can you post a pic?

Ok never mind I see someone wiser than me answered.

Because of television, they're splitting the FD and the Men's SP because NBC is evil.

So, if you want to see all the Free Dances, you'll need tickets for both sessions. It also gets you the entire men's SP, too, even if you're more interested in dance.

Ew!

Michelle Lee and Brooke Gewalt are not on the official media bios because they were included very late.

Michelle's bio is on USFSA Fan zone, however.

Brooke is still a mystery to me.

In this article, he talks about he's been using 3 year old skates, and avoided taking the time to break in new boots.
