There are reasons skaters can petition onto the Worlds team and even the Olympics; typically illness or injury. Alexa and Brandon and Alysa petitioned onto the 2022 Olympic team with great success. USFS is going to do whatever they think will result in the most success for their team, and that was (correctly) naming Alexa and Brandon and Alysa onto the team.
What is the VK stream? Is it available outside the US? I'm struggling to find something which will work...is that coarse voice on the VK stream Ashley's??? if it is then yikes

Just checked Wiki. Last year's worlds, Ilia was first, and Jason fifth, so that would be three spots for the men.
Ilia has one, and if Jason doesn't petition, then two spots are up for grabs today.

In the past, the USFS needed Jason more than Visa versa. To get world spots.

About petitioning onto the US team I forgot about Chan and Howe who petitioned to be on the team for 2024 after they withdrew from Nationals. They were also successful and finished just behind Ellie and Danny at Worlds.

No. Chinese stream won't work for me today. I don't know why. Last night I watched Pairs Free and everything worked well.
