Congrats to Davis/Smolkin for great success - ahead Lopareva/Brissaud and TES score ahead Guignard/Fabbri in Free Dance.

PS I’ve seen (alive, not through stream) Diana Davis when she first time competed in Ice Dance and she was not so bad even first time.

Hang on, skaters & team can get ISU Season's Best in WTT right? So how does it work if the total score of RD+FD isn't counted here?

Does that mean they can only get RD and/or FD SB but not combined? Or will it still be combined just for the sake of official SB?

Never actually thought of that before. That's a very good question, and I too would like to know the official answer.

Given that a lot of ISU PB's get achieved at the WTT, it would be very unfair if somebody got PB's in both segments, but then had to have a lower Total Score used as their PB on the ISU's official records.

They count the total. If you look at the 2022-23 SB list for women here, Haein Lee is at the top with her SB being the 225.47 she earned at 2023 WTT. In Ice Dance here, Chock/Bates and Guignard/Fabbri have their total SBs being from WTT as well.

Good!

Thank you so much for your answer, @saine.  :points:

I'm impressed. I wouldn't have had the wit to even think of checking old SB lists from WTT seasons... :slink:

Thank you again

:thank:
