2026-27 Canadian Figure Skating

After the first two days on JGP, Canada secured its first podium of the season. I am in no way expecting as many podiums as last year because our pairs are rebuilding while last year, they were at the top of the food chain.
However, there are still some possibilities in dance, and perhaps even in singles.
Summer and Nicholas won the bronze in ice dance, coming back from low levels in the RD to skate a really strong FD. They gap behind the Italians and AINs is large however.
Grayson is sitting in third place right now after the SP. For him, the real test is the LP because he doesn't have the same firepower as some of the other competitors.
Our younger pairs are getting experience.
Victoria placed 10th in the SP, 8th in the LP for a 10th place total. Considering the very strong field in China, that's a good performance.
