Indeed @Tutto. I don't know what it is, but I have felt the same way, just in general. It feels like this summer is passing quite slowly, despite each 24-hour period seeming to zip by. But the summer itself feels endless, for some reason. It's hard to describe that dichotomy. The wildfire smoke from Canada and Minnesota happened earlier this month, and I'm still reeling from the effects, but it seems like it happened in a long ago dreamscape. 🌫 It looked outside like we were on the set of a Doomsday movie! The sky was filled with billows of light yellowish smoke blowing in from the northward lake and heading south (while spreading east and west) over the tall buildings. Olympics and Worlds feels like eons ago.

Alisa/ Misha are currently the 3rd ranking pair in the world

Not surprising. They should be right up there. I hope they can bring the right intensity and command to solidify their standing this season, and push further ahead. Alisa/ Misha grace the cover of Skating magazine. The photographer, an adult skater, was thrilled to pieces that her photo made the cover. She posted about it on her IG.

Regarding time seeming to pass slowly this summer, I guess we should gather each moment with gratitude, savor, count our blessings, and tuck away the fond memories. ️🌤

But they are baby pairs...they are cute and wobble a lot cause their heads are too big for their tiny bodies. I just enjoy them and wait to see what happens when they grow... It's because I adopted Tai & Randy at 13 &15, I can't help myself.

Yep, and they are still together in their memories of their on-ice journey. They are still longtime friends and pairs soulmates.

Tai always laments that current day teams do not stay together long enough through ups-and-downs. But the sport is in a completely different era. While more teams should try to stay together, quite often logistics and growing pains are what causes breakups.

Miura/ Kihara's Destiny Ice Show from Japan has recently been uploaded to YouTube in the U.S., by IceNetwork.

A number of U.S. and Canadian pairs and ice dance teams take part in the show.

The pair teams for the Kinoshita Group Cup have been announced. The US teams are Moss/Galbavy (M/G), Plazas/Fernandez (P/F) and Liu/Bedard (L/B) with the alternate being Williams/Lewer.

They will be facing 3 AIN teams Boikova/Kozlovskii (B/K), Chikmareva/Ianchenkov (C/I) and Mukhortova/Evgenyev (M/E). I haven't really kept up with Russian skating, but I have seen B/K's programs and they are a really good pairs team. C/I and M/E I have no clue where they will end up scores wise, so it is very possible for a AIN podium sweep). The other teams are the Kovalevs (FRA) and Davison/Borisov (GBR).

This is not M/G's first international senior competition as they did one last season, Ice Challenge in Austria, which they came in 6th place. The Last international competition for both L/B and P/F last season was the Golden Spin. L/B came in 7th place with a total of 163.88 and P/F came in 2nd with a total of 183.17. I don't think any of the US teams will win this competition against B/K, but maybe one of them could podium? Anything is possible.

So, all of these Russian teams have been approved as neutral, then. I'm glad to see Boikova/ Koslovskii. I'm not familiar with the other Russian teams.

If Liu/ Bedard and Val/ Max can master their jumping passes, they have a chance to be competitive. At the very least, they would seemingly have more maturity than the younger Russian teams. I hope the judges do not go back to over-rewarding Russian teams on artistry simply because they are Russian. Having good line and technique does not mean every Russian team have artistic maturity.

I do expect B/K to win, though. I'm eager to see their programs. Still, there should be robust doping testing and enforcement. Not that B/K were ever suspected. It was the Russian gov't and Rusfed failing their skaters.

I am hoping that the ISU will post the teams for John Nicks soon since its the week after Kinoshita. I'm hoping to see all the new pairings of Flores/Sadusky, Starr/Parkman, Shin/Howe and McBeath/Nagy. Of course I want to see all the teams, haha, but I do at least want to see how these folks look together other than little snippets on IG.

I heard that Starr/Parkman and Shin/Howe will be at the Summer Sizzler.

Oh! I saw AnythingGOEs posted that Liu/Bedard got a GP NHK spot! So that will be 2 for them, China and Japan.
