the axel combo will not count I fear.Maybe not the skate Eddy was hoping for, but he was able to get out three combos and I think that's the first time this season for that.

yup... my boy is too excited but watch out, he will get there. He has the lift on the jumps. He has so many skills
Yeah, but he still went for the combos and that's been an issue so it's something he did get.the axel combo will not count I fear.
I can no longer listen to Johnny and Tara either, which is why I seek out the Japanese broadcast of US Nationals despite being in the US...I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Mark Hanretty has been one of the best additions to international figure skating in the last five years. I knew he competed, but I only really discovered him through his commentary—and it’s outstanding. He’s knowledgeable across all disciplines, insightful, and consistently positive, and I’m always learning something new from him despite following skating for decades.
Having him at Canadian Nationals is an absolute treat. It really highlights the contrast with U.S. Nationals—I honestly don’t think I could sit through an entire event listening to the abominable commentary of Tara and Johnny....
Nicolas grew over 6 ft, and although he was able to land multiple quads, he had injuries and difficulties that ended up causing him to move to pairs where he was another total natural and stayed for a couple of years making the national team on a couple occasions I believe.Just saying Yvan Desjardins best student was Nicolas Nadeau, I wonder what end the career of Nicolas, he was great !
I can’t stand listening to their voices.I can no longer listen to Johnny and Tara either, which is why I seek out the Japanese broadcast of US Nationals despite being in the US...
Haha - that's funnyI can no longer listen to Johnny and Tara either, which is why I seek out the Japanese broadcast of US Nationals despite being in the US...
Nicolas had a severe ankle injury. When he came back from it, he could no longer jump the lutz. He still competed for a season or two. That's when I saw him do a quad loop at nationals. Then, he rebranded as a pairs skater with Emmanuelle Proft. They were doing well for a new team with none of them with pairs experience but they got offered a gig as pro skaters and took it.Just saying Yvan Desjardins best student was Nicolas Nadeau, I wonder what end the career of Nicolas, he was great !
