I think the Cleopatra program is a smart, safe choice for an Olympic year. It stands out more than the emotive programs. Yes, it leans into some clichéd movements and stereotypical Egyptian hand gestures, but it’s dramatic and has a real epic feel. The twizzles, though, didn’t look quite as strong.
