I am guessing his parents are very removed from his career...I don't remember ever seeing them around. Do they even coach ? What do they do ?

I remember a commentator saying that his parents find it too nerve racking to watch him perform live so that’s why we never see them at competitions. Hilarious but understandable coming from Olympic champions!

Totally agree - F/A are the stronger skaters but they need a better FD programme with interesting choreo. Marie Jade and Romain’s programme will play much better to an Olympic audience.

Isn't that the same score the Americans got at their nationals? I agree that that was the best I've ever seen in skate this program. Hopefully any additions that were made will improve their chances of beating the brits.

Yeah I think the changes have really helped and now it feels more like Vincent reimagined. I think they could still make some of the transitions in the first half more complex if they want to challenge the top two teams - the changes in the 2nd half have really improved the storytelling.

I think it's more everyone wanting to pump up their teams and Canada coming after the USA. I figured Piper and Paul would get a national record here before going to the Olympics.

I’m just pleased our judges have finally done this at nationals. They are normally like the Japanese and don’t inflate national scores to the level the US and Russians do

To each their own, I guess. I don't find Fabri/Ayer's FD boring at all. I love both the music and choreography, and their expression of it is the cherry on top. I thought it was stunning.

I hope Marie Jade and Romain, whom I also like, do great at the Olympics!

I withdraw at this point - I honestly don’t care right now. I have too many work obligations and decisions to make right now and no time to fit them into a workday.

Count me out as I cannot devote time to euros, 4cc and possibly Olympics right now.
Costumes need to take a place at the end of the line right now. Rewatches as well.
Maybe I will make predictions just to close out this cycle.
Maybe not- I appreciate the skaters too much to label them winners and losers instead of interesting and entertaining skaters.
