Saw the score and had to see Erica Machida. I remember from last years sectionals but I think she was pacific last year. That was such a fun program that needs to see Nationals. She feels the music so much. Great job!

Interesting I remembered Jasmine Clarke from nationals a while ago. She went from novice 2 years ago right into seniors this year. Popped a jump and fell on the combo so probably wont make it to senior nationals but good for her moving up so quickly.

Oh.. really hard to watch her cry and sitting by herself in the K&C.. I see why skaters are skipping it now

More pops and falls from Jessica Choy, I think all these skaters will be so close in scores that the free skate will be anyones to advance to Nationals.

Nice to see Maryn Pierce. Shes been at sectionals for a while trying to qualify. Shame about the fall that is a nice program even with the overused music of never enough

So nice to see Clare Seo back. She disappeared with I assume injury after her great Nationals 2 years ago. Oof... hard fall into boards on first jump... and popped the axel... and her spins are rougher... I hate how injuries can really derail someones career. Figure skaters are so tough. It was really nice to see her back though. The judging panel here has been pretty nice so a chance she could rebound tomorrow... oh they put her down in 12th..

Nice 3A from Sophie. Her dress is very Alysa Liu coded. Messed up the combo a bit... but a good skate from her, she gives good performance in it

Congrats to Sophie and Ava for making senior nationals! But mostly I'm excited for Erica Machida for making it, since the next 3 best scores make it and I don't see 5 people from Midwestern scoring better than her.

My goodness. What has happened to Claire Seo? She was at Skate America 3 years ago. (I think). Injury? If so it was a bad one for sure.
What are Will Annis’ chances of making it?
And how are regional medals determined now? At the end of every event the announcer said something like “regional medals will be awarded in the lobby.” It’s got to really stink to get a medal and still (probably) not be going to Nationals….

He's in. Lucius has a bye since he made the JGPF, so even though Lucius finished second, his result doesn't push others out.

Thanks. Never occurred to me that someone with a bye would compete.

He's been doing junior free skates, and still has JGPF, so it makes sense to me that he'd want a chance to compete a senior free skate before nationals.

Regional medals for singles skaters are based on NQS rankings.
