I know that I am finding the animated pictures of them in the background very distracting, and I am just somebody watching on TV. I would imagine it is even worse for the skaters on the ice, seeing the movement out of the side of their eye when they are taking off or landing. Especially when it is a giant version of themselves!

During snooker matches, people in the audience are told to stay still. And if somebody does move on a shot, the referee can have them thrown out. I don't see how these animations are any different to a spectator moving.

I was very surprised for a moment to see both Chris and Zoe by the boards, because one normally stays at home while the other travels to competitions. Yes, I somehow forgot for a moment that it was a 'home' Europeans!!!.
