Not a fan of Nina's music choice, but she always keeps my attention because of her choreography.

Petrokina almost certainly going to win, I think Gubanova with a clean free skate will still medal. Pinzaronne is solid but they usually hit her with a bunch of underrotations. I don't think anyone else can be relied on.

Well, unfortunately, what I was fearing would happen happened - The women (with some exceptions) did not manage to deliver under pressure. Crossing my fingers for a better Free Skate. 🤞

This wasn´t the result I expected at all. Niina and Nina surprising after having struggled with injury. Everybody thinking Gubanova had that gold in her pocket and then down to 10th. I wonder if she has any chance of medal now... However I do find this a bit exciting because I never think it has been as unpredictable for the podium as now. Niina and Ninas lack of training after injuries might be more visible in the free, how will Loena do, can Anna stand the pressure of being in bronze position and how about Lara? And then is the question if Gubanova can bounce back from this.

Off to bed, I guess I see you first at pairs tomorrow. Thank you for a nice evening :ghug:

Niina leads by over 5.5 points before the free, she is in a great position to defend the title. Let's hope she has the stamina for it after her injury problems this year.

I am happy for the Belgian Nina too, she is always such a fighter, some UR issues but she is usually rock solid apart from this so It would not surprise me if she wins the gold.

Loena has a good chance too. The Italians also aren't out of contention.

I just hope the free will have more clean skates than today, Rinky was ruthless in the last few hours.

I liked young Iida Karhunen. Her upper body is tight and she might loose jumps, but I hope she can develop. This was until I saw Loena the final flight. :) Really good skate from Niina Petrokina, and she was very patient to show the program. I liked the program, it's good that she is moving away from plain powerful style. She is still powerful but more feminine, and this tango I think suits her, and it's an unusual choice of music and program idea. Kimmi is not ready yet, hopefully, this program will gain spark, but it also seems more mature. Sad for Loena, but her 5th place is better than Nastya's 11th anyway. Why is Nastya always hit so hard when she makes mistakes? When she does well, she gets into the top, but when she makes a mistake or two it's always bottom of the table for her. Not sure if it was fair that Alexandra Feigin didn't Q.

Well I'm tired and hungry and have no idea how to do this for three more days, but the Niina vs Nina battle is on for the title it seems, see you folks tomorrow
Pro trick : Skip practices. If needed, skip an early group and watch it later
