Katia got time violation... HOW????????
She moved into her finishing pose after the music ended. If she's just stopped her slide as the music ended and counted that as her finishing pose, rather than moving her arms and upper body into the finishing pose afterwards, that would have been fine.

Well this was a poorly skated events. Even Canada might not do too bad here. Rather disappointing. Yes, nice if you like the Italians that they have two ladies up there but Belgium does not look good. Japan, Korea and USA have nothing to worry about.

Our former judge and commentator Mika Saarelainen never stops talking about that slide is dangerous way to end the program. He said yesterday he hated to press that deduction button because of time violation but he said he had to follow the rules. He often says"skaters, if you are listening avoid that kind of ending because it may cause time violation". I have not seen Katya yet but he mentioned that after someone else's skate.

Nina Pinzarrone did better than I was expecting, good for her ! I like each program that Benoit did for Nina !
I think Benoit Richaud is proud of this girl, he is always there for her in the kiss&cry.
I have a feeling that among the singles skaters Nina and Adam are Benoit's favorite students.

The difference between Katya and the other skater (I think it might have been Iida Karhunen, but I'm not certain) is that Katya actively moved part of her body after the end of the music whereas the other skater just kept sliding without moving her body at all. If Katya had slid whilst keeping herself still, they would probably have viewed it the same way as for the other skater.
