Host country skaters going back-to-back to finish off the opening group.
First up is Elina GOIDINA (EST) wearing a beautiful black dress, with a white left sleeve. (What is the craic with these different coloured left sleeves?
This is the second one we've had today!)
Skating to music from "Angels And Demons" (could have sworn I heard Darth Vader in the middle...)
Funnily enough, yesterday I watched an episode of "The Invaders", and there was a guy in it that looked like Tom Hanks, and sounded like Tom Hanks. But it wasn't Tom Hanks, because he would have only been 10 at the time it was filmed!
I love the dress, I love the music, I love the skating.
That was brilliant!!!
She's got a red teddy bear.
She goes into 2nd position in both the FS and overall.
It has not gone down well with the audience. They thought she should be leading.
But, come on. Have you forgotten Okada?

Well the Estonian girls have delivered on home ice so far! There were a few little errors from Maria that will keep her behind the unstoppable Mei, but she and Elina have to be thrilled with these redemption skates! Maria's skating does remind me a lot of Niina, they have similar jump technique and carriage across the ice.

Now for the second part of our Estonian duel.
Maria Eliise KALJUVERE (EST) is wearing a dress in various shades of blue.
She is skating to "Mon Dieu" by Édith Piaf.
That was really good too!
Personally, I preferred Elina's programme.
Ah. It's her birthday!
HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY MARIA!!!
Hope this is the start of a good year for her, both on and off the ice.
And they played "Happy Birthday To You" as she was coming off the ice.
That was funny. She did a hand heart, and wanted to do it over her heart, but wasn't sure where it was! So, she kept moving it around her chest!
And there is a banner wishing her a happy birthday!
