They did not enter for the qualifier event. I don't think she has citizenship. She is French.

Oxana is Swiss. Her partner, Tom Bouvart, is French. Oxana previously repped France with another partner, Flavien G, I believe, who later retired. Training in France is how Oxana met Tom. GS recently posted an interview with them. They are a couple off-ice. Their coach is French; formerly the original coach of James/ Ciprès.

I, for one, will be a bit sad not to see the backflip. I thought it was gimmicky at the beginning of the season, but grew to appreciate it throughout the season. I understand the necessity of removing it if it was a safety issue, but it was kind of a neat, attention-getting feature, even if it didn't really impact the overall score. Anyway, hopefully they do well regardless.

I know like 5 words in Mandarin but I can read many more Chinese characters (not the simplifed ones though), kind of a prerequisite for a Korean Lit major (while Korean is fully written with Hangeul our words are like 70% Sino-based)
