Well, they have scored 81 points for this program, so even with the 6-point loss on the lyft, they still had such a high ceiling that it really isn't that much of a surprise. That's just how the math works, though I agree, had this being based on ordinals, they probably would have been a few places lower.Whoa!!! What a goddamn lie. Tryin to keep Riku and Ryuichi in thd running. That's laughable and so political. Go Minnie and Nik!
Agree. Riku/Ryuichi got gifted that 73 with that major lift mistake. Anyone else would have been hammered. Performance was flat also. Score should have been around 69-70. Bah.Whaat???! Did you guys see Riku all on top of Ryuichi in that twist dismount??? And they got 2.28 GOE? Puhleeze. A bunch of teams have a clear separation on the twist dismount, but never this team, and they are never ever called on it. Just given overly hig GOE every time. Unfair. This team is NOT aesthetically pleasing either. And nrither are the Georgianz. Always overscored. Political favorites. They are NOT that good. Constantly gi en something for mistakes. Okay now I see they messed up their lift. Let's see what happens.
the difference is that what happened to the Japanese pair looks awful but he had a secure reaction which isn't as scary as seeing a guy with a tilted lift and unsafe footwork throughout the lift, which means that it could result in a very scary fall that cannot be secured by any reaction he would have. She waited during their skate, allowing courtesy of watching. But not for Berulava. In teams she was off on him before he even grasped Metelkina's hand.
