Ah, can you try using a computer browser? I didn't need to download anything, I just open https://gem.cbc.ca/ in the browser and I can watch smoothly from there. l also use the browser in my smart TV to watch from the Gem website.

I could but I have a 60 inch tv to watch it on. I know, first world problems. My babies are in 7th. I object.

Minerva / Nikita - I really don't like the music, it tries quite hard but never quite gets to be a proper tango. The performance is better than the music and her dress is pretty.

Her hair touches the ice in the death spiral They win the SP with quite a margin. My male commentator is already predicting great glories with such a difference, but the lady commentator stops him right on track quickly reminding him how many times they've already made that mistake in the past week

The competition started so well, many great performances for teams that were just happy to be there and make the FS. I thought that last 2 groups were feeling the pressure of big expectations and did not perform freely, hence the many mistakes.
But wow, Minerva and Nikita, gorgeous program and skate!
What an unexpected surprise for Lia and Trennt to be in last group for FS, and even get a small medal ( if there is such a thing at Olympics)!

You know, I'm not super surprised that the Canadians are in third. They did so well in the team event, and the judges were finally starting to reward them with higher PCS scores, so I had a feeling

They have just done an interview with Deanna and she said that she hit her head in the training incident. @4everchan I know you said that the injury wasn't a head injury, but I am inclined to believe Deanna? I don't think she would have said that in an interview if it wasn't true,

Sara Conti says that they were shaky after the throw, but she thinks that tomorrow will be better and many teams are very close.

H/V are my favorites, so I am thrilled with this result! I hope they can maintain their lead in the FS! Wishing everyone great skates in the free!

Clearly the leader, but that was not an 80-point skate. They've skated better. But I understand the context, and the judges needed to end it the event with some big numbers.

Yes, I think this was contextual. After overscoring others with major errors I have no problem with the score for H/V.

A well deserved 80+ for H/V, still work to do. A shaky final group but it ended on a high. It’s all up play for in the free.

I’m disappointed for the Dutch after such a great skate they’ve just missed out on the free

I’m surprised the free is tomorrow night, I assumed there would be a free night in between.

I don’t like spam.

Spam can be tasty if done right, ie fried coated in eggs and eaten with rice and kimchi, while Peacock will never be of any use to me, so to me spam wins over Peacock

Pairs women do not get nearly enough respect in the Olympic movement. The stuff they put themselves through is bananas.

If you'd offered me before the event that Ellie and Danny could have a Level 4 twist, cracking salchows, and only a hand down on the throw, I'd have RUN with that deal.

I was a bit late to the party, so I didn't get to see Emily and Spencer, but from the score it looks as though they exceeded expectations. I'll look them up later.

Yes I agree with her. I think anything can happen in the FS.
Although I really like Minerva and Nikita so I'm hoping they won't make any mistakes in the free.

Can't believe they are all skating again tomorrow!! The men had 3 days in-between programs!

I said it wasn't a concussion. it was a head injury but not a concussion.
