2026 Olympics: Where Will You be Watching?

I asked the olympics instagram why there is a youtube if it's geoblocked everywhere and they said it's not geoblocked for some smaller countries in Afrika. So maybe if you can find a VPN for one of those countries ....
I couldn’t even find a YouTube. Do you have a link?

I think your message worked 👀 reply of the venue feed and no commentary on it
Haha...I'll pretend so. I got an email reply requesting to know my name, address, and the "make and model of the device in which you are getting this issue" which seems like maybe it wasn't me who helped.

I DID watch the replay of today's no-commentary venue feed, though, so hooray for those who really did make that happen!

This new no commentary at all venue feed makes me mostly happy, but I miss either Mark, Ted, Chris, or Belinda commentating LOL. I guess I could subscribe to VPN for Eurosport feed. I just wasn't happy we didn't get a Team Dance venue feed.

The Team Free Dance was after the Men’s Short on the Day 2 Venue Feed.

I got HBO for the month so I can watch and I was dreading the commentary, but I'm so pleasantly surprised! Not only is there a no commentary track option, but there's sth like 10 language options, so I was able to find one where I understand the language and the commentary is actually decent. I really recommend the French track - no idea who's doing the commentary, but it's enjoyable and they don't talk over the performance!

Peacock Update - The Venue Feeds for Day 2 and Day 3 are still up as Replays, AND they have no commentary. No sign that the replays will disappear after 24 hours. The Day 1 Venue Feed went into the void, but oh well. Hoping this pattern continues for the rest of the Olympics.

I’m so jealous.

I need help yall. I have gone through 3 VPNs that claim to work with YouTube (Nord, Express, Surfshark). I logged in to Cameroon and went to the Olympics YouTube channel. Each time I got “VPN detected” error message and could not proceed. These are all VPNs who claim to work with YouTube. I know I can watch the World feed on Peacock but I’d rather have commentary.
Thanks.

Wish I could help, but as someone with a paid version of Nord, I get that 'VPN detected' error message with all attempts to get into any Olympic site...except for the German site shown on soyouwanttowatchfs.com. Will your VPN link to Germany? I understand that Nord is among many VPNs which are forbidding getting into Olympic events online. For some reason that country does allow me in with the VPN.

One odd thing is, I tried to 'go to Canada' for CBC sports, but doing so, one must click on Videos and that takes you to the GEM signup site. I did get registered in there with the help of a poster giving us a list of Canadian zip codes, and I resgistered using my Google account info. I got in the first day, during curling, but later it wouldn't even allow me in! Also, my PC started going nuts when I went in to YouTube. I learned that the GEM account was linked to YouTube, so I unlinked it to get my PC to settle down.

I'd like to know if there is ANY country my Nord could use for the Olympic YouTube channel. I think there is not, for reasons given above. I do wish you luck on finding something. Can you try the live.qq.com/10012776 link? If you can get in, it does work. If too busy, it just 'stutters' and is unwatchable though.

Where is the list of Canadian zip codes?
Commentary in German would drive me nuts, but yes, Germany is among the countries I can reach.

I will try to find the list--I think it is under "Where Will You Be Watching?" but can't recall. I don't understand German, but I have up the OP from the event, plus the results page for the event, then I go into https://soyouwanttowatchfs.com, click on the link for Olympics, and scroll down to the German links. They are there for everything except opening and closing ceremonies and Gala. For understanding, I have my Translator on (only works for written words though) plus those other 2 pages I mentioned. I may or may not be able to locate that zip code list but I'll try; I just don't recommend an account there. It doesn't work well even with a Canadian VPN.

Voila! Found it--post #101 in this very thread! Maybe you'll have better luck with registering there and using it with a Canadian VPN than I did.
