I am not sure Kwan is eligible to skate yet for Canada. But world's is a month away. Do you go with a face from the past -Gabby Daleman? Do you approach the high performance director and say its time for a change including you? A second quadrennial and no team medal and relying upon the old guard. She would hae qualified had she done a double loop. So proud of Ami, Kaori, Alyssa, Mone and Adelia. Isabeau is still in it for a medal. Her dream is alive. Amber is still close enough to sneak on the podium.

If everyone falls apart she could do it. I think Japan and USA each have at least one spot on the podium which leaves Japanese ladies, 2 American, Gubanova and a Belgium skater fighting for the third medal.

Right I forgot it had to be a triple. So Maddie gets 0 Just dreadful. She was dobting herself I think. Look at the jump combo. Regardless you have to feel for Maddie and itis horrible to jump on the situation. It is time perhaps to send soeoen else to represent Canada at world's in a month. As crazy as it sounds. time for the world bronze medallist from 9 years ago to come back. Then next year Minsol should be ready for Canada. This is worse than what happened to Ilia.You can only imagine the pain Maddie must be going through if the not the shame. she did her best but who would have guessed disaster would strike so badly.

She is age eligible, but I haven't seen any information on her release or minimums. So far, she only competed nationally in Canada.

We may be looking at the podium finish among the top five placements in the SP, all depending upon how the LPs go. As for me, I totally give up on the judging. It doesn't mean much, aside from how the tech specialists/controllers call each element. I see plenty of unfairness as to who gets values lowered and who doesn't, who gets qs and !s and who doesn't, who gets honest GOEs and who doesn't, and who gets fair PCs and who doesn't. This Olympics has turned into just a big 'whatever, who even cares?' for me. Maybe Worlds will go better. I will likely not see Worlds, since my Nord VPN is now useless to view anything via other countries. Right now I don't even mind that; it's helpful in other ways.

Now that we have a website that puts up scores with each judge's country, I have become much more cynical. They dont even TRY to cover up their bias. And who knows how many back room deals are being made?

Well if you're from the US you can get Peacock. It's cheap and worth it though admittedly aggravating at times. But I get your sentiment.

6 judges out of 9 scored outside the corridor on Glenn’s step sequences. The range was so wild

Agree, that step sequence wasn't that bad. I certainly did not see 12 skaters give better skates than Amber.

Chiba will end up being the most satisfying winner of these now, for me, seeing how Liu's LP is just meh, and Sakamoto's programs are nothing special. Love how there is a surprise winner of the SP, though. She would be a fun winner, too.

Couple things.... why was Levito's step sequence graded as a level 3? I thought it had all the elements of a 4 and was performed so well!
Second, I hope the technical panel are more consistent with downgrading and dinging jumps with the LP. If you are going to be tough then be tough with all. This is going to be a tight finish and consistency by the judges is key to fairness.

I have friends like you. They call me all the time when they have to navigate the internet I love my technology (and I am pushing 70). I come from a technology loving family, though. In the olden days, when home computers were new and really expensive, I assembled my own Heinz 57 computer.

My cable company only recently started offering Peacock for free, but I am going to cut the cord when I retire, so I am leaving it as is. I like my skating to be at my fingertips.

I have been able to watch while I worked, which wouldn’t have been possible without my phone.

Off topic, sorry, but I use a landline at home with multiple handsets in every room so I don't have to carry one around with me, and I have an antique flip phone (turned off) in my purse that I use to call for taxis to get home from somewhere. Doesn't take pictures, doesn't do text messages. I don't even know offhand what the flip phone's number is -- just use it myself to make rare calls.
