Excellent judging at this event.
Everytime I saw a short triple jump, it was called a q. When I saw Isabeau triple triple and saw it clean and saw the judging call it clean, I knew the judges are seeing the jumps correctly. They even called Kaori’s jumps which shocked me.
Ami - Rightful winner of the SP. Her PCS was correct too. Congrats on the 3A!!
Kaori - The best skater. She flies across the ice
Alysa - Too high PCS in my opinion. But, kudos to her for being the only skater to go for the loop combo. Yes. It was q and it was rightfully called as a q. Does she ever make a mistake?
Mone - To me she has the best skating skills. Yes, even better than Kaori. She flew through that program. The fact Alysa scored similarly is an insult to skating skills appreciation.
Adeliya - She skated safely. No 3A means it must not be consistent. I saw no attempts at a 3A during practice. But, I did see 4T’s landed. Also, she seems to be practicing loop combos It will be interesting to see what she will throw to try to move to a podium spot
Gubanova skated a well deserved 6th place.
Under rated skates are Haein and Nina P. They should receive 1 point higher for PCS.
I’m mad Isabeau scored lower PCS than expected.
Amber - after her loop miss, she just gave up. Also, she skates slow and for some strange reason, she can never deliver on the important events. She gets too nervous
But, hugs to Amber and Maddie
