I love the way that Duane is being so supportive of Misheel OTGONBAATAR (MGL), pointing out all the good things about her programme after seeing how disappointed Misheel looked when she finished.

When we came back from the the replays, Misheel looked like she had been crying.



She goes into 19th position.

She was only 1.12 points behind the last skater to go through, Sevinch RAKHIMOVA (UZB).

Talk about cruel! For goodness sake, let them all do their Free!

A lovely start to the Free Dance from Tasya PUTRI / Dwiki Eka RAMADHAN (INA).

Have to admit, the vocals did get annoying. But, on the whole, I enjoyed that.

It's hard to believe that this is only their second Ice Dance competition (well, that I know of anyway). They are so promising.

Their team-mates in the audience are happy!

Now that was a lot better from Gaukhar NAURYZOVA / Boisangur DATIEV (KAZ) than they did in the Short yesterday.

The music was strange. It started off sounding very traditional, but by the end it sounded almost industrial.

I loved their costumes.

They go into the lead.

Ah. I just realised that the results page is only showing the standings for the Free. This could get confusing now that we are getting into partnerships that are close together.

Two R&J FD programs...

XIAO Zixi / HE Linghao (CHN) were doing a "Romeo And Juliette" programme. And it was beautiful.

Well, apart from the vocals in one of the songs. The vocals in the other songs didn't bother me. Just that particular song.

Belinda and Duane are full of praise. They are saying it's hard to believe that they are only 17, and saying that if they are this good now, imagine what they will be like in 10 years time.

And I totally agree. Assuming that there isn't any chopping and changing of partners, like we have become accustomed to in Chinese skating.

They were always going to be leading going into the final group, given the gaps from the Short. It was just a question of by how much. And whether they will climb up the order.

I love AzuShin but I would love a program with little bit more character and originality. The program is quite nice and shows their flow but it's lacking some highlights.

Holy moly, I thought Utana's leg was gonna hit the ice on the opening stationary lift and they were going down on the first element

Good job by UtaMasa but this program also is lacking some highlights while RJ theme screams for such. I think overall Japanese teams have more flow, speed and better skating skills but worse lifts than Chinese.
