About Katia, Kristi and Yuka...

All three ladies are now pros, and has had a pairs skating background. Could anyone here educate this relatively amateur skating fan the similarities and differences of these ladies in terms of their techniques in their footwork, speed, spirals, spins, etc?

Not so much with the jumps because for me, figureskating is not figure jumping. I would like some more in-depth info on what to look for when these ladies skate. I don't need to be told of abstract terms such as beauty and personality--those are subjective. Besides, "beauty and personality" are all what most TV commentators just blab on.

Ok the differences

Kristi and Yuka have the full jumping arsenal...Katia has the "pairs" jumping arsenal. I know you're not into the jumping... but that is one major difference

Yuka Sato is more like Janet Lynn in the fact that she is soooooooo smooth. You can't even hear her blades move across the ice. She has a light touch on the ice... and a charismatic smile. She's a joy to watch. (I've seen her live so maybe it's just me when it comes to how her skating comes across, but I doubt it)

Gosh this is so hard because all the ladies have similar qualities, but are so totally different...

Kristi's definately the most "technical" of the three... but she is still so exciting to watch.

Katia is very light and passionate on teh ice...
