Adeliia Petrosian

I think I was writing similar statements about Anna S. four years ago... but of course I hope you're right...
Well Anna already won everything by then. I think if they give AIN status for GP next year its almost impossible that Adeliia won't go for it. If its still Russia only, who knows. I would be surprised if she don't keep skating for fun anyways. She clearly has a very different personality from Anna. Doesn't seem as financially or commercially ambitious.

Is it known when Adeliia’s next event will be?
Should be here:

Ksenia Sinitsyna tells about a moment with Adeliia in Magnitogorsk. Girl really must be under intensive pressure.

Adeliia has always been very nervy, but she does have the capability to deal with it. She isn't as iron-minded as Anna, but she definitely isn't someone who is going to immediately break either. I believe it was last nationals where she said for the FS, she was so nervous she wanted to just leave without skating. Yet, she skated perfectly and earned a career high. I hope it suggests her physical form is better than we think, and if she can overcome her nerves she will be once again in great shape by nationals. It could even be good that she is feeling such nerves right now, to get used to it before the Olympics. If these national competitions were a breeze for her, it would make Olympics far more jarring.

Figure skater Adelia Petrosyan commented on her performance in the short program at the Russian Grand Prix stage in Moscow (1st place).

"I tried to come out with more confidence. The cheers here were really loud, and that really encouraged me and gave me confidence. So I came out calmer than I had in the six-minute period."

– "Have you corrected your mistakes? Or have there been any changes to the schedule: did you rest more after Magnitogorsk, or vice versa?"

"The schedule was exactly the same, and I had the same amount of rest. At first, there was a slump after the stage, but in the last few days, I started to recover and get back into shape. I hope I can show that form tomorrow."

- "What are you planning to show us tomorrow? Or are you planning on showing us anything after Magnitogorsk? You said a lot there..."

"Yes, I don't make any predictions anymore. This is the first time I've done it and the last. That's it."

- "But I know you skate a program with two quads in training. Are you more confident? More consistent?"

"I was ready in Magnitogorsk, so I won't say I'm more confident or stable now. Let things happen as they happen. I'll show you everything tomorrow."

– "Last season you performed a triple axel. Do you plan to practice it, incorporate it, and practice it this season?"

"I wouldn’t like to talk about it either, because you say it, and then it doesn’t appear... I’ll work on it."

- "There's a month and a half until the Russian Championships. How will you prepare? Maybe you'll take a mini-vacation?"

"You ask me about a mini-vacation after every competition. I took mine in the summer while recovering from an injury. So, no. My next vacation isn't until May."

– "How is your health now? Is your injury bothering you?"

“I can’t complain about my condition, so everything is fine.”

She can do it in training. She can do it in warm-up. But she cannot do it in competition :(
I'm running out of ideas when and how Adeliya will show a clean quad. Not to mention the 3A.

Poor Adelka. I think she really feels terribly alone, that's why she is now so attached to Petr:

Russian figure skater Adelia Petrosyan said that the presence of Petr Gumennik at the Olympic qualifying tournament in Beijing helped her. "Of course, it helps that there's someone like me around. It's one thing when you're almost completely alone, but here there's another small team riding." "It's important that there's another person in the same situation as me. I want to support them too, to help them with words, which is what we did in Beijing," Petrosyan said.
