Transmission channel "Match TV" tells the story of how Princess of Biryulёvo Adelina Sotnikova won the world figure skating.Which way the future champion had to go from the first step on the ice before the gold medals the highest standard; who helped her to stay on the road and no easy thanks to whom she went forward, even when he wanted to stop - this in the next forty minutes! The film contains footage from the family archive Sotnikova family. SUCH Adeline you have not seen)

Can I just say that Adelina looked absolutely beautiful on the ice today? Congratulations on your third place win! :hap93: Next stop, Russian Nationals...:hopelessness:

I hope Adelina feels better with her result today, not her best, but she is coming back. And she is on the right direction. Best wishes for her. And I think her PCS is quite deserving.

Thanks for all the links. I didn't get to see her freeskate but I see that she came 3rd. Good for her. Not her best but she is slowly getting there especially after not skating competitions for a year. Now she can work towards performing well at Nationals.

It's nice to see her happy with her 3rd place.

Love how Adelina went for absolutely everything in the FS today. It goes to show that this comeback is hardly for vanity's sake, attempting a lutz-toe and two flips for the first time this season. I thought the technical score was really quite harsh, especially when it came to the edge call on the lutz and the toeloop on the axel-toe, and the PCS was more than deserved -- it definitely would have been sky high had she been clean. It would have sounded crazy to say in September, but she has as good a chance as any of the other Russian ladies to make the World team. I hope she attempts to sneak in one more competition before Nationals; as she really seems *almost* there in terms of competitive stamina.

Good effort you gorgeous beauty, congrats for bronze medal! :luv17::clap:
Performance-wise she is a refined, outstanding skater. She was just exhausted in the end today, I think she still has all her jumps though.
All Russian ladies skaters share the same saying: "work, work, work". My version for Adelina would be: "compete, compete, compete".

No the calls on the lutz edge and both 3t were correct. They were all e/<</<< in real time, especially that axel/toe, she fought hard to land that one. I do agree though with one more competition before Nats. There is the last Cup of Russia in a couple of weeks in Moscow that she could possibly utilize. I hope if she lands more jumps that her PCS go higher, Rad/Med were too close but they skated really well so

I should clarify that I thought the calls were harsh relative to what some of the other skaters have been called/not called for. Jackie Wong from the Examiner, for example, screencapped a pretty clear lip from Gold at Bompard and she didn't even get so much as a !. Zhenya's lutz wasn't called yesterday and it looked at least on a flat in the replay.
