Adelina is taking part in the Viennese Ball in Moscow at the end of May.

"The renowned Russian figure skater Adelina Sotnikova passed competitive selection at the XIV Viennese Ball in Moscow, which will take place at the end of May this year. Well, I loved JSM, but I am excited to see what this "serious, not-fun" piece is. Wish: Requiem For a Dream. More than a little obsessed with that soundtrack. :popcorn:
 
Pffft, I'm still missing the original ending to JSM! Bring it back!! :drama::p

But while I miss her sambo SP, I'm glad to see she already got a new SP. Come back full force next season, Adelina!:cheer:

I think she did a q&A with fan. I can't wait to see her short program or even learn what the music is. She seems very serious about her comeback.

She has problems with the voice, so it's sometimes hard to hear, what she says

There were some silly typical questions but:
Her favorite color is red; favorite flowers - peonies; favorite place for holidays - Miami (she really liked it las year); favorite place in Moscow - CSKA rink :D ; she loves her name and could not imagine other, it was her mom's idea; the most unusual present - flashmob on the rink; she wants to study stylistics or even interior design; she loves Angelina Jolie; besides figure skating she loves hockey, rhythmic gymnastics and synchronized swimming;
About her manicure&pedicure salon: it is a small family business, mostly because of her younger sister as she is disable from early childhood but has strong arms - after finishing her education as a masseur, she will be able work in that salon.
She always makes make-up and hairstyle by herself;
Won't have holidays this off-season as she need to train to be in a top form;
The main aim now - to be back on the level she was before "the break";
About her relationships with Buyanova: she is like a second mom, they are together for 11 years now, she is more than just a coach now;
Her short program is already choreographed, she doesn't want to reveal the music now but says that it's in a very "strong, powerful style, not a happy one", they are working on free program now (also with Tchernyshev and Tagayeva);
Each days she has 4 hours on ice (2 and 2) and some basic trainings at the gym;
She would like to give some master classes in different cities in Russia but does not have any time for it now, maybe after 2018 :)

Wishing her all the best, hopefully she can come back with her jumps in 2013-14 form (or potentially even better). Adding in her improvements in basically anything PCS related, she could really shake things up next season. Go for it, Adelina! :cheer:

PS: liking Red and Angelina Jolie, that's my girl! ;)
 
Agreed, her love and support for her sister is great to see. I am hoping this upcoming season will be great for her, there is a lot of competition.

I can believe she wrote it. She has her moments from time to time. Like her twitter rant after the Olympics that she ended up deleting that had me :palmf:

Yeah. She seems to be too sensitive to other people random comments. She def needs to develop some thick skin skills. :)

I think it may not even be the case... Considering the amount of comments she gets, i kinda see how one can get a bit touchy easy.

I agree it's been tough on her, especially after Olympics. It was nasty. (Like it was her fault). But athlete should learn to collect her sport anger from it and use it in competition. I hope she will learn how to convert her energy and righteous indignation into sport positive aggression. There is no better way to shut up hatters but just to win more competitions. "They can fudge with me, but I'm just getting stronger by that" kind situation. I like when athlete is angry (in a good way).
