Oh no, Aliona! She’s amazing no matter what. I wish she didn’t put too much pressure on herself. She won the SP, landed the 3A and overcame herself after hard practices. That‘s so much to be proud of already, no matter what happens today. Everything will be alright.

We can be pretty sure any and all of the skaters and coaches present receive a call from 'HQ' for debriefing, explanations, praise and scolding or whatever. All the people involved, coaches and skaters, are professionals and deal with this in a professional way.

So much is at stake for #TeamTutberidzeForProgress that no detail can be overlooked, everything has to be in order and any mistakes need to be taken care of. This is a collective that strives for the best skating, the highest results, the strongest competitors, and everybody involved knows which part to play and what it takes.

Hmm, I'm very puzzled by this, because her run-through today was almost perfect today. She wiped out on the second 3A, but that seems to happen a lot in her run-throughs so I wasn't too worried about it. And she put out some really PERFECT 3As today, like this one (posted above too):

ETA I just read the practice sessions notes and it seems like Aliona left practice after doing a beautiful clean 3A so I really have no idea why she was crying. Maybe relief.

She's a very sensitive person, it seems, and a perfectionist, which is a always a tough thing to combine. Hopefully she can learn to manage it in the future. Getting stressed out this much can't work out long term. But fingers crossed for today, for now! You can do it, Aliona!
